WELCOME TO THE NEW BREAKFASTROOM
Hello! The Breakfast Room forum has over 2000 members and has been running for three years as a kind of annexe to the main site at www.petethomas.co.uk. To view the rich cornucopia of saxophone and music related discussion from the archives, see the link at the top right of this page, or just go to the new forum to join in. If you were a member of the old breakfastroom forum please note that unfortunately you will need to rejoin as I was unable to migrate the old forum format. Please use the form here to apply.
I started this forum for saxophone players, jazz musicians and media composers as I get so many emails about saxophones, jazz, composing and recording that I thought it would be a good idea to start a forum so that whenever I answer a question it might be of use to others, not just the person asking it. It also allows other people to answer - they may have a different point of view and I could learn something.
Say Hi! at the Front door, come in and have a chat in the Breakfast Room (any time of day or night) or visit the forums on saxophones, jazz, composing and/or music technology.
Fundraising
We are now raising funds for Band On The Wall, specifically the Gorton Education Village project. This aims to help with music education for children with special needs with an emphasis on how disabled and non-disabled musicians can work together in music and dance, as well as audio-visual production work and the creation of a Steel Band Academy.
In the last two years we raised over £20,000 for APEC, Leukaemia Busters and IMC Burma Cyclone Appeal.
We are also now very happy to be involved with raising funds for Band on the Wall. So far we have donated £2500 (= £3200 inc Giftaid)
Many thanks to all those who helped via donations, purchases on the site and direct sponsorship for our Andes Trek. I am now planning to continue fundraising on this site via sales of my new CD, saxophone instruction DVD (over 20,000 sales worldwide) other products, downloads and advertising
